Eoto, Ooah, and Gravity A Wednesday night!

String Cheese Incident(who will only be playing a handful of shows betweennow and summer 2007) spinoff Eoto bring their downtempo and breakbeatlooping project to the Wolf Wednesday night at 10 p.m. Jason Hann and Michael Travis (percussionist and drummer from the band The String Cheese Incident) compose this brand new, 100% improvised live looping project. Drawing from the ethos of some of the great DJ's and computer artists of the world, they use cutting edge loop technology to create truly original and melodic dance music in the moment, with the undeniable power of live drums. The music is all created on the spot, looped, then mixed and remixed live to create an ever evolving musical experience. Since the project is 100% improvised, every night promises to be a unique dance experience. Hann and Travis play different roles in this band than in SCI. Jason plays the drum kit, percussion and sampler, while Michael is in charge of the tonal elements, playing bass, guitar, and keyboards, and hand percussion and live mixing.

THE PRODUCERS ROCK THE WOLF DECEMBER 2ND

The power pop rock band returns to their adopted hometown with original lineup intact for a rare concert.

On October 20th, 1989, The Producers played what was assumed to be their farewell New Orleans concert. The Atlanta band was in the process of breaking up, and since their favorite venue, the riverboat President, had moved upriver to St. Louis, they were booked on the opening night of The New Orleans Music Hall, which we now know as The Howlin' Wolf. On December 2nd, 2006, all four original Producers return to rock 907 S. Peters and their adopted hometown.

"New Orleans is sort of a home away from home," said drummer Brian Holmes. "I don't know exactly what it is, but there's something about the spirit of the town that clicked with us. It was always the most fun to play in New Orleans."

25 years ago The Producers released their self-titled debut, which sold 225,000 copies on the strength of constant touring and MTV exposure. The Producers were one of the first groups whose videos were featured on MTV, thus making them more of an MTV band than a radio band.

As much as any of their peers, The Producers were poster-children for the burgeoning post-punk scene of the early 1980's. The Producers play hard-driving, pulsating rock-n-roll that mixes the tight backing harmonies of The Beatles with the melodic bass lines and solid percussion of The Police.
